Here is a small recap on my family’s Halloween!
My husband and I had a low key Halloween. We live in a family friendly neighborhood so Halloween means pumpkin carving and candy duty. Though we had a premium candy selection this year (Sour Patch Kids!), our turn out this year was lacking. There is so much leftover candy that I know I need to get rid of it fast— or else this baby is going to come out looking like a Sour Patch Kid!
This is year, Halloween is especially sweet– it’s our last one just the two of us. Next year, our little trick-or-treater will be here. You can bet your lucky stars that I am already planning her first costume. Get ready, Baby P!
Lastly, the Teal Pumpkin was a hit. We gave out candy alternitives in case any of our trick-or-treaters had food allergies. The goodies included Halloween pencils, erasers, stickers and bubles. Food allergies or not, all the kids who stopped by wanted some of the goodies out of the Teal Pumpkin Bowl. My favorite trick or treater of the night was a little guy dressed as a goblin. As I was putting candy in his bag, he spotted the bowl of pencils and erasers by the door. Even through the mask, you could tell how much he wanted a little trinket. It is humbling to see how kids appreciate something as simple as a spider shaped eraser.
